Jamie’s first race in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) is less than a month away!
The Bath native will take to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in April — first for pre-season testing, then for ‘4 hours of Barcelona’.
So, with just a matter of weeks until we see Jamie in action for IDEC Sport, what better time to take a look at the venues she’ll be racing at in 2025…
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain
This year’s European Le Mans Series kicks off in Spain with testing on 1st April, before the campaign’s opening race a few days later (6th April).
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will host both events — and it’s certainly a venue with plenty of pedigree, as the home of Formula 1’s Spanish Grand Prix.
It’s also a testing track, with a variety of corner types and straights, as well as multiple elevation changes.
Attendees should expect plenty of excitement, then, while enjoying one of the most vibrant destinations on the ELMS calendar.
From the Basílica de la Sagrada Família to FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou, there’s no shortage of sights to enjoy if you’re visiting the city next month.
Circuit Paul Ricard, France
A mainstay of the European Le Mans Series, Circuit Paul Ricard (4th May) has been hosting ‘4 Hours of Castellet’ since 2010.
Based in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the track is famed for its long Mistral straight (1.8km / 1.1mi) and elongated layout, as well as its flat nature and distinctive black and blue run-off areas.
It is just a 45-minute drive to Marseille from Le Castellet, so visitors can spend their time relaxing at the city’s Old Port when they’re not watching Jamie race.
The Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde is another highlight, too, as is the Parc national des Calanques just down the coast.
Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Italy
Imola is one of the motor racing’s most iconic destinations — and Jamie will be heading there in July for Round 3 of the 2025 season.
This venue is rich in history and tradition, both in Formula 1 and the European Le Mans Series.
For starters, it has hosted the Italian and San Marino Grands Prix in the past, as well as being the current home of the Emilia Romagna GP.
And ‘4 hours of Imola’ has been held there on multiple occasions, too, from 2013-16, in 2022 and the 2024 edition.
With a narrow track and minimal runoff areas, precision will be required from the drivers competing on 6th July.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
Prepare for drama at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps this summer (24th August).
The Belgian track is famously loved by drivers because of its high-speed corners and dramatic elevation changes, while the Ardennes forest is prone to varying and unpredictable weather conditions.
That should all make for an entertaining spectacle, in a region that is notable for its natural beauty.
Spa itself is renowned for its thermal baths, and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the ‘Great Spa Towns of Europe’ in 2021.
Silverstone Circuit, United Kingdom
IDEC Sport will have fond memories of their 2019 visit to Silverstone.
Jamie’s new team won ’4 hours of Silverstone’ on that occasion, with a driver line-up of Paul-Loup Chatin, France Paul Lafargue and Mexico Memo Rojas triumphing in the LMP2 class — before going on to win the entire series.
They will be hoping for a repeat of that achievement this year, of course, at the home of British motor racing on 14th September.
A combination of speed and bravery will be required to do so, at yet another track on the schedule with notably fast corners and a high-speed layout.
Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal
The 2025 season concludes with ‘4 hours of Portimão’ — and there can be few better locations to wrap up the campaign than on Portugal’s south coast.
Sun, sea and sand are the orders of the day for visitors attending Round 6 on 18th October, alongside some scintillating racing at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.
There is sure to be plenty of excitement as the curtain comes down on another European Le Mans Series, at a track that took Estoril’s place on the calendar back in 2017.
Jamie will be hoping to end her maiden ELMS campaign in style, after what looks set to be an intriguing year of endurance racing.
