Jamie went into the 2021 season looking to prove that her previous W Series victory wasn’t simply a flash in the pan.
The Bath native had triumphed at the all-female championship’s inaugural edition in 2019, before the pandemic put paid to the 2020 campaign.
But she returned with a bang following the resumption of racing — winning the competition for a second time, to continue her emergence as a top talent in the world of motorsport.
A modified calendar saw the season begin with a double-header at Austria’s Red Bull Ring.
And Jamie bounced back from a sixth-place finish in the first race to claim victory during the second round in Spielberg, as well as recording the fastest lap.
Next up was a home race at Silverstone, where a podium finish was attained after placing third in the United Kingdom.
However, it was becoming clear that challenger Alice Powell was going to push Jamie all the way in the title race, with the Racing X driver winning both the season opener and at the home of British motorsport.
There were still five races to go, though, and Jamie started to hit her stride from Round 4 in Mogyoród.
The then 22-year-old claimed top spot for the second time in 2025, as she again registered the fastest lap at the Hungaroring.
Things didn’t go quite as smoothly at a rain-soaked Spa the following month, but Jamie still managed to put more points on the board with a P2 placing, before repeating that feat in the Netherlands.
Those results, coupled with Powell’s victory at Circuit Zandvoort, left the two British drivers neck and neck in the standings, going into the final two races of the season in Austin, Texas.
Third-placed Emma Kimiläinen was still in contention, too, but Jamie delivered the goods when it mattered — winning both rounds of the double-header to secure the second W Series of her career in commanding fashion.
“I feel like this year's been quite high pressure,” she said, after the season finale at Circuit of the Americas.
“I feel like I've been pushed all the way and coming to America it did feel like I had to level up and make sure that we did everything possible. Relieved and happy, honestly I couldn't be happier to have got the title.”
The Veloce Racing driver racked up 159 points, four race victories and a further three podium finishes, to ensure a satisfying end to the 2021 campaign.
