Jamie etched her name into motorsport history by becoming the inaugural W Series champion in 2019.
Her journey through the six-race season was marked by consistent excellence, strategic prowess and a series of podium finishes that underscored her dominance in the all-female single-seater championship.
The campaign commenced at Germany's Hockenheimring, where the Bath native showcased her abilities by topping both practice sessions and securing pole position.
In the race, she faced a brief challenge from Alice Powell during a safety car period, but managed to reclaim and maintain her lead to clinch the victory.
Powell and Marta García completed the podium, setting the stage for a competitive season ahead.
The second round at Belgium's Zolder circuit presented new challenges.
Beitske Visser overtook Jamie at the start and maintained her lead to win the race, with Jamie coming home in P2 — fending off a late surge from Powell.
But, despite not securing top spot, Jamie’s podium finish reinforced her position as a championship frontrunner.
And she returned to winning ways at Italy's Misano circuit. Although Fabienne Wohlwend claimed pole position, a slow start led to a first-corner collision with Powell, allowing Jamie to capitalise and take the win, with Visser finishing second.
The following race at Germany's Norisring saw García record a lights-to-flag victory, with Jamie finishing third — further solidifying her championship lead.
Next up was Round 5 at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, where we witnessed Emma Kimiläinen achieve the series' first 'grand slam' with pole position, fastest lap, and a race win.
However, Jamie was once again on the podium, finishing third to maintain her lead in the championship standings as the series approached its finale.
The season culminated at the United Kingdom’s iconic Brands Hatch circuit.
Going into the race, only Jamie and Visser remained in contention for the championship title, with the former needing a podium finish to secure the championship.
Starting from pole, she initially led the race but was overtaken by Powell and Kimiläinen. A late-race safety car added to the tension, but Jamie’s fourth-place finish was sufficient to crown her the first W Series champion, edging out Visser by ten points.
“It’s been awesome,” Jamie told Pit Crew Online, after being crowned champion. “As the year goes, it’s been a fantastic year.
“Obviously the championship is the highlight, but the whole build up and the actual season has been incredible.
“I’ve been really lucky, I’ve had a lot of support this year, a lot of people around me working very hard to help me progress and make the dream a reality. It’s been an incredible year.”
