Jamie made it three W Series victories from three attempts in 2022, as she completed a clean sweep in the competition’s final edition.
The Bath native had previously triumphed in 2019 and 2021, before returning once again the following year — this time under the Jenner Racing banner.
And Jamie picked up where she left off, making a blistering start to her last-ever W Series.
Remarkably, she won the first seven races of the season, to dominate proceedings from the campaign’s opener in Miami.
Though it was Nerea Martí who started the first of two races in Florida on pole, Jamie climbed from second place into top spot, with Martí ending the day in sixth.
There was no need to play catch-up in Round 2, however, or in the next two events in Barcelona and Silverstone.
Jamie qualified in pole position all three times, before going on to secure victory from top spot.
Such convincing performances meant the then 24-year-old had a commanding lead going into Round 5 at Circuit Paul Ricard — 47 points ahead of second-place Abbi Pulling.
A two-place grid penalty for crossing the pit exit line during Quali meant Jamie started in third on that occasion, but she once again made light work of climbing back into first place after 14 laps of racing.
It took until Round 6 for a challenger to emerge triumphant, as Alice Powell achieved her first win of the season at the Hungaroring in July.
Jamie still recorded the fastest lap, though, as she placed fifth in what was to be the season’s penultimate race, after the final three scheduled rounds of 2022 were later cancelled for financial reasons.
Unfortunately the Jenner Racing driver couldn’t go out in style during the season finale in Singapore, as an accident left her unable to finish.
But it mattered not, as she ended the campaign top of the Drivers’ Championship by some distance with 143 points on the board — rounding off a sensational three years in the W Series.
