An action-packed day of racing brought the first-ever Jamie Chadwick Series to a close on Saturday, with Rhianna Purcocks and Lily Jeffs named the competitionโs inaugural winners.
Daytona Milton Keynes was the venue for the season finale, following seven previous events in Tamworth, Sandown Park and at the Buckinghamshire-based track.
And Jamie was in attendance to witness the final races of 2024, in the 4-stroke and 2-stroke (DMAX) championships.
The 4-stroke championship had already been decided ahead of Round 8, with Jeffs securing top spot after triumphing in six of her seven previous outings.
That didnโt stop the 18-year-old from going full throttle this weekend, though โ winning both races to wrap up the campaign in style.
Alyona Nikolaeva ended the competition in second place, with Ella Wroe claiming the last podium spot in third.
There was significantly more on the line in the 2-stroke (DMAX) championship, however, where Purcocks and Amelia Wolf were still tussling for the title on the final day.
The first race certainly brought plenty of drama, when Purcocks crossed the finish line 0.7 seconds ahead of her rival โ only for officials to relegate the 27-year-old into second, because of aggressive driving that forced Wolf onto the grass.
But Purcocks made amends in Saturdayโs second race, when she romped to the title by finishing 15 seconds ahead of Wolf โ recording the weekendโs fastest lap in the process (1:07.04).
That saw Wolf end the championship in second, ahead of third-place Hope Wood.
