Jamie is set to embark on an exciting new journey in endurance racing this year, as she joins IDEC Sport for the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
Endurance racing is a discipline that demands not only raw speed but also strategic thinking, teamwork and consistency over extended periods.
Want to find out more? Here’s our complete guide to the 2025 ELMS campaign…

What is the European Le Mans Series?

ELMS is one of the premier endurance racing championships in the world, serving as a key stepping stone for drivers aiming to compete in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The competition features a series of multi-hour endurance races, held across some of Europe’s most iconic circuits.
Each race in the series typically lasts four hours, meaning that drivers must work seamlessly with their teammates to share the physical and mental demands of racing.
The series is divided into three main classes, each with its own technical regulations and unique challenges.
The LMP2 class — which Jamie will be competing in with IDEC Sport — is the top prototype category and features some of the most advanced racecars outside of the elite Hypercar category seen in the World Endurance Championship.
LMP3 serves as a developmental category, allowing younger drivers and teams to gain experience with endurance-style prototype racing, while LMGT3 provides an arena for production-based sports cars.

The 2025 season: A gruelling test of skill and strategy

The upcoming ELMS season will take drivers and teams to a whole host of tracks across Europe.
Following testing, the campaign kicks off on 6th April with a race at Barcelona’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya — a track known for its mix of high-speed corners and technical sections.
From there, the championship moves to Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France (4th May), which is famous for its long Mistral Straight and demanding high-speed sections.
Later in the season, the series will visit the legendary circuits of Imola in Italy (6th July), Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps (24th August) and Silverstone in the United Kingdom (14th September), before wrapping up in Portimão, Portugal (18th October).
For Jamie, each of these tracks will require a different approach, and adapting to the nuances of endurance racing will be critical.
In single-seater racing, the focus is primarily on short bursts of speed over relatively short distances, whereas ELMS demands precise tire and fuel management, strategic overtaking and coordination with co-drivers.
Pit stops are no longer just about a quick tire change; they are an integral part of race strategy, often deciding the outcome of an event.

IDEC Sport’s status in ELMS

IDEC Sport have built a strong reputation in the ELMS paddock since their debut in 2016.
The team claimed the LMP2 championship in 2019, showcasing their ability to compete at the highest level of endurance racing.
Over the years, they have achieved victories at some of the most testing tracks, including Monza, Silverstone, and the Algarve International Circuit.
Looking specifically at 2025, Jamie’s new teammates Logan Sargeant and Mathys Jaubert will be instrumental to the team’s hopes of success.
With Logan’s background in Formula racing and Mathys’ endurance expertise, the 26-year-old will have the opportunity to gain invaluable insights from the duo, as she continues her motorsport journey over the coming months.
