Jamie reflects on 'beyond expectations' performance at 4 Hours of Barcelona
Jamie reacts to a successful first round of the 2025 European Le Mans Series

IDEC Sport kicked off their 2025 European Le Mans Series campaign in style on Sunday — and Jamie was understandably delighted with the team’s LMP2 triumph in Montmeló.
The Bath native was taking part in her first-ever endurance racing event at ‘4 Hours of Barcelona’ but emerged triumphant alongside team-mates Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Juncadella, following 130 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Speaking after the race, Jamie reflected on a memorable weekend that has perhaps raised the bar for the season ahead.
“It was obviously an incredible weekend and we kind of performed beyond expectations,” she explained.
“We had a bit of a loose goal of being in the top five — and my team-mate Mathys [Jaubert] did a great job and qualified us in the top five.
“Then, in my stint during the race we dropped back a little bit.
“It was obviously my first proper European Le Mans Series LMP2 race, so there were a lot of learnings I took from that, because it was definitely a difficult first stint.
“My second stint was much better, though, and from there the strategy was really to try and extend as much as we could, to put ourselves in a position where we could capitalise on any sort of safety car or virtual safety car.
“That ended up falling at the perfect time, which gave us a good bump in positions.
“So we jumped up a few positions, before my other team-mate Danny [Juncadella] got in the car and did a great stint to move us up a couple more positions.
“Then it was Matisse to finish — he did the ‘killer’ at the end to move up again and get us into the lead.
“We lost the overall lead on the last lap, but all in all, we're so, so happy.
“To get this result — and on just our first weekend — was way beyond expectations.”
Next up for Jamie and IDEC Sport is Round 2 in early May, when they will head to France for ‘4 Hours of Le Castellet’ at Circuit Paul Ricard.
